Happy New Year!
I am very excited about 2018. It is going to be my year – literally and figuratively. Literally, it is the year of the dog (my Chinese zodiac sign), starting on Chinese New Year. Figuratively, I have a feeling it will be loads better than 2017.
Although 2017 was a year of big accomplishments including graduating from Swarthmore and starting my first job, it also came with its fair share of hardships. Equipped with the lessons I learned from last year, I am ready to reach new heights in my career and achieve personal satisfaction this year.
As far as resolutions go, I want to take better care of my health as I travel frequently. I will continue to invest as much as I can in my career. Other than the very cliché aforementioned resolutions, I want to keep up my current routines and habits that have been surprisingly rewarding, such as summarizing news everyday in my planner.
I think I started 2018 off right by avoiding Times Square. Can you imagine wearing adult diapers for 7 hours in the freezing cold just to watch the ball drop? People actually did it.
I wish you all a prosperous and healthy year.
Best,
Phyllis
