My name is Phyllis Lee, currently working as a private equity investor in Los Angeles.
I started this blog in May 2015 because I wanted an outlet where I could document my passions as well as lessons and discoveries that helped me grow personally and professionally.
The initial focus of this blog was around networking, recruiting and interview preparation for young professionals from non-target universities. As this blog became a surprisingly long-term hobby, I decided to use this platform to share my experiences as a young woman who is navigating her way through life on Wall Street, New York City and now Los Angeles!
As a private equity investor, I focus on large-cap leveraged buyouts in industrials, healthcare and technology. Prior to private equity, I spent three years as an investment banking analyst at an elite boutique investment bank in NYC, where I worked on M&A and Restructuring and Recapitalization transactions. I began my career as a consultant, primarily focused on M&A strategy and operations.
I graduated with a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College, where I was able to garner diverse experiences in the financial services industry, particularly in asset management and corporate strategy.
I hope you enjoy this blog! If there are any questions or topics you would like for me to cover, feel free to contact me. Thank you for stopping by.
