After an amazing first day in Jejudo, Annalise and I were super excited for our second day! Since it was our last day with our tour guide, we had a super tight schedule. Before we left for Jejudo, the weather forecast said that it would not rain for the entire duration of our stay, but, to our dismay, it rained on our second day, which explains why I wore flip flops in my pictures…
First Stop: Eco Land Theme Park (에코랜드테마파크)

I had so much fun here! As the name entails, Eco Land is a small theme park with a small railroad system built. Each stop represents a certain theme of Jejudo, as shown in the photo below.

One stop at Eco Land had a section of land with small boulders of volcanic rocks, since Jejudo is a dormant volcano. Look how cute this short, round, angry rock is! I am convinced it is my spirit rock, if there is such a thing.
Jejudo is famous for its oranges, and I absolutely fell in love with their orange ice cream bars. For some reason, I haven’t been able to find them outside this park, not even in convenience stores or grocery stores in Jejudo. I wish these were sold nationwide. They’re just so good!
Second Stop: Seongeup Folk Village (성읍민속마을) — Jeju Traditional Houses
Out of all the landmarks I have visited, I found the traditional houses at Folk Village to be the most interesting for me. There is so much history behind the houses and the people who live(d) there, so much that the Korean government declared these houses historical landmarks to protect them. Again, please excuse the flip flops… Our tour guide advised us to bring casual shoes in case of rain…
Apparently, if you rub the bellies of those statues, you will be blessed with money. So obviously, I rubbed their bellies multiple times…
Third Stop: Lunch
To save room in our tummies for a big, delicious dinner ahead of us, we had a simple lunch, consisting of seafood pancake (해물파전) and kimchi stew (김치찌개) which is not pictured. The pancake was especially delicious because the octopus was so fresh!
The museum also featured areas with costumes for the visitors to try! I just had to seize the opportunity. The bottom photos are me in a schoolgirl uniform…
Fifth Stop: Beach
We only had about an hour to spend at the beach before dinner, so we did not get to go into the water fully, but it was still a blast! The weather was amazing, the water was beautiful, and everything about the atmosphere was perfect.
